Residential Water Heater Installer

We are hiring a Residential Water Heater Installer. We are looking for an experienced installer who is highly skilled in residential water heater installations, including hard-piped systems, understands applicable plumbing codes, and is comfortable completing the electrical work required for installations. This position requires someone who can work efficiently and independently, installing approximately 2 to 4 water heaters per day while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Install approximately 2 to 4 residential water heaters per day.

• Perform complete water heater installations, including hard-piped installations.

• Install and replace gas, electric, and tankless water heaters as applicable.

• Complete the necessary electrical work associated with water heater installations.

• Ensure installations comply with applicable plumbing and electrical codes.

• Inspect existing plumbing and water heating systems to determine the appropriate installation or replacement needs.

• Properly connect water, gas, electrical, and other required components.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot water heater and plumbing issues.

• Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

• Communicate professionally with homeowners and explain the work being performed.

• Maintain a clean and professional work area in customers’ homes.

• Complete accurate job documentation using an iPad.

• Utilize an iPad comfortably for company documents, job information, and required paperwork.

• Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicle.

• Participate in ongoing training to improve technical skills and product knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Ample hands-on experience installing residential water heaters.

• Strong experience with hard-piped water heater installations.

• Thorough knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and installation requirements.

• Comfortable performing the electrical work required for water heater installations.

• Experience with gas and electric water heaters required; tankless experience is a plus.

• Ability to independently complete multiple installations per day while maintaining quality standards.

• Strong understanding of residential plumbing systems.

• Comfortable using common plumbing and electrical hand and power tools.

• Comfortable using an iPad for company documents, job information, and paperwork.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

• Ability to safely lift and maneuver water heaters and plumbing materials.

• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, garages, and other residential environments.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
