Fierce Outcomes advises educational institutions, employers, and state leaders around education and workforce. Fierce has two twin goals: first, to improve student outcomes by building education-employer partnerships to close talent supply-demand gaps. Second, to transform educational institutions’ perceived value by improving their graduate outcomes, translating to increased enrollment and greater willingness to pay. We work with educational institutions either directly or via edtech partners, serving higher education to K-12 to early childhood. As we expand our project portfolio, we’re seeking a highly capable Project Manager to support a variety of fast-moving client engagements.
Our founder spent the past 10 years as a partner at BCG and associate partner at McKinsey & Company in their education & workforce practice as well as leading advanced analytics. Prior, he founded, scaled, and sold Measuring Success, a pioneering firm in education analytics-driven strategy. He started Fierce Outcomes a year ago to provide MBB-level consulting services at a fraction of the price using more flexible, thinner teams with deeper education and workforce sector expertise. This new economic model allows Fierce to engage not only in traditional 2-3 month strategy, analytics, or GTM engagements, but also 6-12 month pilot execution work to bring about the impact.
This role is ideal for a former or current management consultant who’s looking for meaningful side work or someone who stepped away from their career to focus on family but still wants to engage their skills in a flexible, intellectually stimulating environment with a manageable schedule. You’ll work on projects ranging from strategy, market research, go-to-market, pilot execution implementation, to advanced analytics / AI insights, all in the education and workforce sectors. If you thrive in dynamic environments and love being the person who makes things happen, you’ll fit right in.
