Position Summary
The Plumbing Install Coordinator plays a critical role in keeping our installation department running efficiently and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. This position is responsible for coordinating plumbing installation jobs, matching the right technicians to each project, communicating with customers and field staff, and keeping schedules organized during both routine and high-volume periods.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to make sound decisions that positively impact workflow, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Understand the skill level of multiple plumbing install technicians and match them with the needs of each customer and job.
- Coordinate and schedule plumbing installation projects for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Relay accurate and timely information to technicians to ensure quality work and positive customer experiences.
- Quickly prioritize installation requests and determine customer needs.
- Answer a high volume of inbound calls and provide exceptional customer service.
- Respond to customer requests, resolve issues, and help promote repeat business.
- Keep customers informed of scheduling changes, delays, and job updates.
- Record the results of completed installations and prepare report summaries for senior management.
- Ensure labor, materials, permits, and equipment are properly planned and coordinated for each project.
- Work closely with plumbers, warehouse staff, dispatch, sales, and management to keep jobs moving smoothly.
- Develop contingency plans during busy periods and adjust schedules as needed.
- Maintain accurate records in company systems and ensure all job documentation is complete.
Requirements
- Strong technical and organizational skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
- 2 years of experience in plumbing, construction, home services, or a similar industry is preferred, but not required.
- 2 years of previous scheduling, dispatching, coordinating, or customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with ServiceTitan is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, work orders, invoices, packing slips, permits, and procedure manuals.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to apply innovative and effective administrative techniques to maximize team performance.
- Team player with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
